The first TOM REBL flagship store opened inside the luxury shopping complex Herbis in Osaka, Japan on 1st September 2012.
The edgy concept is taking inspiration from probably the most masculine surrounding, the men´s toilet. Antonio Vittorio Carena, designer and founder of design laboratory Se77e, fused the brand´s refined yet provocative style with a stylish ambience far off mainstream.
Four rough concrete washbowls on a black tiled socket build the centre piece of the shop. Aged brass tubes spread through the shop like a star from this centre piece. Some tubes lead to stylized concrete urinals on the wall. The other tubes create a structure, which functions as hanging rails.
On the floor and on one wall are sanded terrazzo tiles laid out in a monochrome black and off-white design in authentic public toilet manner.
The aged brass tubes and ground tiles with its vintage feel create the perfect contrast to modern high-shine black mirrored walls with built in LED screen.
